ICCRA is a new international network of researchers. Its aim is to encourage cross-cultural research on emotion with a principled approach based on the componential emotion theory.
The ICCRA was founded in 2005 in Geneva by Klaus Scherer, Phoebe Ellsworth, Ype Poortinga, Pierre Dasen, Johnny Fontaine and Seger Breugelmans. It is sponsored by the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences at the University of Geneva. It collaborates with HUMAINE (Human-Machine Interaction Network on Emotions), which sponsors the Grid Study of Emotion Terms as part of its Work Package 3, Theories and Models of Emotion.
